Holy Cow Central Market Peeps!!!

Ok So this blogging EVERY day probably wasn't a good idea. I feel bad saying that then not writing for like a week. But! I must say I finally have a few things to write about. This is not in chronological order and most of its going to be me rambling on but, its better than me not blogging for 2 months then summarizing it all in like a paragraph.

First! I just went to Central Market after buying a foodie book. While there ran into a foodie expert. Not someone that works there but someone that is a corporate person in the business of food. I learned SO much in the last hour. My jaw was dropped for seriously 45 minutes. I could only smile I was so speechless. Comment if you want the whole story!
Closing comments on this if you dont have "guide to beer" kenning & jackson. Its a informational read while I sat around barnes and noble today.

Ok next!

I want to say do not connect the beer book and this next part together the beer thing was just interesting that people make beer an art form. But recently people have been calling me or talking to me at my work and in random other places. The particular subject is God. I had a lady that was like 62 ask me how I felt about her cheating husband and how he did horrible things and she deserves the money she gets. Now she wants to get remarried but not legally, that way she can keep the money her ex has to give her.....seriously! If you love some dude and you want to "say your vows in the presence of the lord" that's awesome. But legally is the way to go. I commitment ceremony really isn't much. The significant other can walk away and your screwed. Also your doing this way for money? You also want this person to live with you so you can see if it will really work out between you. We're all adults here, I think you shouldn't ask me how I feel about living together before marriage. We all know what happens, I dont judge but dang! Don't explain all this crap and expect me to say, "well I dont see anything wrong with that." If you have done t hat and your marriage is great, GREAT I am super happy for you. but know expect your failing relationships to get better by moving in together.

sorry I wanted to get that off my chest.

for the record there are couples that i know lived together before they were married. I look up to one couple that did. I hope my wife and I can be as happy and successful as this couple is. They are great parents and great people....and in recent years have become some of the best followers of Christ I have ever known. Love ya sis :)

Anyway I am considering doing a Julie and Julia idea but different. I will fill in anyone that is interested.

Grillage Y Food

Ok so like I said I am going to try to blog everyday. Well let me tell you a story but first I need to ask you a question. Have you ever taken one of those pineapple from the store that still has the stuff on, buy it take it home. Then cut off all the spikies, then de-cored it (except the very bottom filled it with beer and patted the whole thing down in brown sugar?

I have! It was so good we all voted to go back to the store and buy another and do it again. Also I FINALLY had some green chili chicken enchiladas tonight thanks to my wonderful girlfriend.

good nights over the stove and out on the grill.

Thank your Jessica Hanko and Ryan Weaver. You make life fun

Finally Some Rest!

Ok finally time for another post! I have been so busy with the end of school and moving into my new house! That's right, a house! I am not living in a dorm for a few months and I am already enjoying the bath tub, no curfew, and the ability to have a glass of wine with dinner. I understand the rules at my school, but man it's nice to just relax and do as I please. I finished watching "Julie and Julia." I made me realize that I haven't posted a blog in a LONG time! This is my apology to anyone who reads it and laughs at it.

On more news I am starting premarital counseling in like two weeks and I can't wait to read the books and hear what Scott Camp has to say and power wisdom in my life. I am going to do my best blog once a day since I have to be online for school everyday.

With love and excitement for summer

Rain and the Environment

I love the rain but dang, I can't stand it when my jeans get wet. That's the worst feeling ever. It reminds me though of what I am talking about in a class soon. I am doing a project on the Republican view of the Environment. I don't even know if that's the proper way of stating it BUT! I must say that I am finally learning everyone is right about politics, its all talk and no action. I find that many republicans lean a majority of their environmental reputation on what Theodore Roosevelt did with national park preservation. I think there is a lot more to this world that votes. It is quite a feat to raise millions of dollars for a campaign no doubt. But to take off the suit and tie, put on some gloves and actually stand up for what your party says it will do and actually accomplishing things for this planet is taking the proper goal oriented mind into action. I don't mean to sound like a PETA freak, trust me I am not. But I do my best to help make this planet a better place, I don't eat meat, not for the animals sake but for the energy it takes to actually process and prepare the meat. This world needs a lot more people that are willing to sacrifice and not make the news, and less people willing to throw money at an issue and hope it gets fixed. That is only going to cost this country more money, and it is also going to take a lot longer for the problems to be fixed.

Solutions
I also think that if I were to just sit here and complain about the environment and offer zero advice to the public, well that wouldn't quite make me a hypocrite by definition but I sure would be a typical public government official, which I am not. I think great solutions to help make this place we live in better can really be in the small things we do. We don't have to spend money to get what we want. Instead of throwing our extra food out, even if it spoils it's called a compost pile. Make a garden, having your own garden isn't hard and it doesn't even have to take up much space, even students living in dorms or singles living in apartments can do this for little or zero money, get creative. Also I think that public transportation is a huge key. Our cities are spends mountains of money on buses and trains, we should take them, its going to be cheaper for ourselves because we will use little money on gas. Plus whats better on the O-Zone a car and a bus, or a bus? Finally shopping at mom and pop stores can really cut down, you just have to look a little. Instead of shopping at the mega-mart you can find stores that use all bio-degradable paper and plastic. If you are in the Dallas Area. Spiral Cafe is a great one to look at. They use all organic vegetables, all natural ingreadients, and all bio-degradable product, I am pretty sure even the dishwasher soap is eco-friendly. Dinner there is the same as, or cheaper than a Pei Wei or even a chick-fil-a meal, its fun, clean, welcoming, and SUPER TASTY.

Drag Show, First Blog

Ok so last night I went to a drag show. I must say I was very much out of my element. I was with some friends from work, we went to support a college who also works with me. It was at Station 4 near Oak Lawn in Dallas. It wasn't until a friend told me this is a really great gay bar did i realize, there were a bunch of gay people. Instead of panicking I simply engaged in conversation with the company around my table. Not to long after the drag show started I only stayed for a short period of time, but what I did experience was good comedy, good laughs, and good lip syncing. I think if I am not doing anything and I am invited I will go to another one. I think that simply supporting someone can show them love. I understand God doesn't approve of a homosexual lifestyle. But what if you were in a rock band and it wasn't a "Christian" if no one showed up to your concert how would you feel? Just because their actions aren't something approve of doesn't mean I wont love them. I think my co-worker realized that I do care for him and hope the best for him.
